Resources
The NEES @ UCSD facility provides resources to support research conducted on the shake table:
- Site Safety Manual: The Englekirk Structural Engineering Center is committed to achieving excellence in providing a healthy and safe working environment and to supporting environmentally sound practices in the conduct of University activities. It is University policy to comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental protection laws, regulations and requirements. The Site Safety Manual describes safety concerns and issues at the site, responsible parties, provides information about the OSHA action plan and the Injury Illness Prevention Program at ESEC, and describes the ESEC site safety requirements and training on proper use of machine shop, tools and equipment. It also describes the emergency action plan at the facility.
- Publications: The large-scale testing conducted on the LHPOST leads to a number of papers, reports, dissertations, and presentations that describe research results and design recommendations. The NEES @ UCSD site will provide references to these publications and even links to some publications when available. Additionally, documents describing the LHPOST shake table performance and specifications are provided.
- Related Links: The NEES network is large and involves a number of equipment sites, governing institutions, and tools and resources. The related links page provides quick access to many of the NEES resources. Additionally, links to UCSD related content and other earthquake engineering organizations are provided.
