Geotechnical Site Data

The Geotechnical Site Data, written by GEOCON in 2002, provides the geotechnical study of the Camp Elliott site prior to construction of the LHPOST facility. The report provides conclusions and recommendations related to geotechnical aspects of the project such as soil and geologic conditions, groundwater, geologic hazards, and project recommendations related to excavation, grading, seismic design criteria, foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, and site drainage. Field investigations were conducted through soil borings, and the soil samples were tested in the laboratory for soil properties such as density, moisture content, direct shear resistance, and consolidation.

The Large High-Performance Outdoor Shake Table is supported in part by the George E. Brown, Jr. Network for Engineering Simulation (NEES) program of the National Science Foundation under Award Number CMMI-0927178.
