The Data Acquisition system is based on that National Instruments PXI platform. It consists of eight (8) PXI chasses, each chassis loaded with an embedded controller based on Windows XP software running the LabView application, and eight SCXI-1520 Signal Conditioning modules (eight channels each). With this configuration, each chassis has a total of 64 channels, resulting in the availability of 512 total channels per experiment. The system is synchronized with the shake table controller and with the PC based video recording system.
